great video. although i find my favourite "overdrive" is turning amp volume to max then using the guitar volume knob to dial in whatever amount of drive i need

Hey Andy from Yamaha, Can you do something about the COLOR SELECTION? Seriously, the colors across the entire range are pretty abysmal. I have the Element in Swift Blue, and I'm at the point where I don't even want to look at it. Why there's no translucent red or even a natural amber finish I have no idea, but you seem to have put everything into the science of the guitar, but didn't spend a minute thinking about making it visually appealing.

It is not a Strat nor a Les Paul but it tries to be both when it is it’s own instrument. It’s scale length is neither Strat nor Les Paul. Great guitar built with detail. You have to want a PRS or you are not in the market for it.

Neck and middle positions sounded pretty dang close. But in the Bridge position you could easily tell them apart.

I like when pedals offer some way to mix my clean tone back in. It helps bring back some clarity to the dirty tones.

Great advice. This all works no matter the sound you're after. I have a clean pedal platform amp and amps I like to use dirty. If you want to use the pedal as a lead boost, all this still applies. I also sometimes like using a pedal in front of my clean amp for a saturated dirty sound and then another set for a light overdrive to boost it farther or even just as a tone shaper to add something different.

I've played tons of Gibsons over the years, from CS to USA to Epiphone and some vintage ones. I found the USA range the least consistent. They go from completely dead to proper nice guitars. A good one's worth it, imho, but you need to go through many to find it. Epis are more consistent but an outstanding one can rival an average USA. But the newer CS models range from fantastic to more fantastic. Some will rarely be not quite as great but still really good. Some will stand out and rival even very good vintage ones. Vintage ones usually have a liveliness that's nearly impossible to recreate. A good old Gibson is absolutely unbeatable, imho, but a bad one is just as unenjoyable as any other bad guitar.

Well, which is it? Duke of tone, or Nobels gold?? I have three Nobels, now I need to try the Duke!! Sounds great!!

I use Electric strings with wounded G string from d'addario strings on this guitar .. some kind of reason the g string sounds more in tune on this guitar
